I'm not aware about the hospitals in your country, but in India every hospital has a M.S.W. (medical social worker) who helps people to get financial assistance for major costly operations. Also, the inquiry counter of the major hospitals must be having a list of some trusts that sponsors major surgery if their is really a need for that.So pl. do check with the respective hospital in your country or else you can ask for financial assistance via newspaper.

well in india
i may say that though most of the govt hospitals that are capable of treating you will provide some financial relief, it is unlikely that u will get full sponsors
unless you get a support from private sponsors like the industrialist funds
best of luck
