Not unless you want to get into a lot of trouble. You can go off disability and then if there is another issue with your heart you can resume it but as you must know it is a pain to even get disability or short term disability. Good luck. Stay out as long as your doctor thinks you need to.

If you want and can AND your doctor approves, then SSDI will help you to go back to work EVEN pay you to go back to work! at the end of the year or sometimes monthly you will have to fill out a form for them, stating how many hours you worked, and how much it cost you to work, like bus/taxi fare, medications, special clothes you needed, special tools you needed for work, I had to buy lots of braille stuff and had to go to Los Angeles to get them, they paid for it all.
Your pay is not a factor, say a doctor that made $100,000 per year now makes only $5,000 per year SSDI says "so what your working!!". Also every 5 years SSDI will check on you to see if you are making a substantial wage. then they could cut you off but not until after another 5 years just to help you get back on your feet.
This system really is a wonderful way to try to get back to work & if not no harm was done, and you made a few bucks trying it out.

i do no longer recognize the place you reside yet while the only reason is a broken arm, and you're even waiting to artwork 6 hours a week, i'm able to no longer think of you should get on disability. If an inspector gets you combining the two, you're in for some authentic hardship imo.

I have been on Incapacity benefit for 2 years, on that i am allowed to work 15 hrs a wk without it effecting my benefit. Friend of mine is on Disability as he is Epileptic. He works 30 hrs a wk and claims working tax credit,he also receives a living allowance. Go to your local Social Security office and talk to them they will help you with all you need to know.

No. You are not supposed to work while on disability. The doctor is the only one who can clear you to go back to work, and he/she has to fill out a form and sign it.
