She is just 25 and has had cervical. A few weeks ago she broke her hip and they did a bunch of tests only to find out it has spread to her bones and her liver and a little spot in her lung. I just dont know what to say to her. She is going to be the third one in 8 years in our family to have cancer. I was the first. My uncle just passed away a year ago from brain cancer. I just dont know what to do any more. Thank you reading and any advice you can give.

Is there reason to be alarmed? I have also had kidney removed with malignant tumor a year ago. Any imput would be welcome.

having dreams where I am being diagnosed with some illness or even cancer. Should I worry about this? I don't have any symptoms I feel perfectly health. It is too weird and many times I wake up crying. Should I take these dreams as a warning?

I am 48 years old, and post-chemo for Lymphoma. I have NO energy and I gained a ton of weight, due to the prednisone in my treatment. I also have 'chemo-brain'. [cognitive impairment following chemo] My treatment was two years ago, and these symptoms are NOT going away. I'm still gaining weight at a slow rate, no matter what I do. I also have chemo-induced menopause.

So, I'm FAT with NO energy to exercise. I barely make it working 8 hours at a desk job. My doctors will not give me anything to help speed up metabolism, increase energy, increase mental sharpness and lose weight. I know it's my responsibility to exercise and eat right. I'm doing ok with eating [though I'm still gaining], but I have NO energy to exercise and everything hurts or causes soreness.

I have read and heard that Ritalin in adults can alleviate some of these things. I.e. can help with metabolism, energy, and metal sharpness. If this is true, how do I get some Ritalin or a prescription? Thanks.

Do you know of a type of brain tumor that starts with an L... I have done some internet research and can't find anything on one that starts with an L. and it isn't the lowest but next to lowest grade. I know it is inoperable and located deep in the brain because they said a biopsy could kill her. She will need chemo starting next month... does anyone have any idea what kind of tumor this might be... Thanks

Increased sleeping and lethargy and fluid buildup in the lungs, very bloated, doesn't want to move - can't sit or walk....does this mean death is near?

This person is 67 and has had 2 colon surgeries and is in ICU, has stage 4 cancer in liver which they haven't even started on chemo yet.

And don't tell me I should be asking my doctor, of course I will ask her on my visit next month. I'm just curious to see if anyone has a ballpark. Both my mother and my aunt found out they had it last year.

I have recently been told i have grade 3 pre-cancer cells on my cervix. I am having surgery and biopsy in a couple weeks. I have always complained about abnormal bleed, spotting between periods. But my paps have always been normal for 10 years. I just read that abnormal bleeding is a sign of cancer and that it has already spread. Please tell me this information is wrong, and If anyone else is going thru this any info would be GREATLY apprieciated. Thanx

my mother who is 73 has been told that she has this, but she not sure of the spefic name of the type she has, the test so far shows that the lymph system is not involved or major organ. the two blood test she has had first showed to be 7100 over normal white cell count, two weeks later it was 18,000 over. what is the normal course for this type and is this considered to be an aggresive form of the leukemia. any further info would be greatly appreciated..............greg shafer

I know the treatment regimine is chemotherapy. The Dr.s' said chemo can shrink it but may not be able to remove it completely. So basically there's no way out, but does anyone know any places that are very good with treating it, or any facts that might be helpful to me?They've allready took out a tumor. She has three little tumors too deep in her brain to be removed by surgery.

managed to survive three types of third stage cancer, even outlived my doctor, but now dealing with radiation burns and adhesions..incrediable painful..and causing other issues now. Radiation back when I had my surguries they found out later continue to "microwave" the area the beam was aimed at, forever..feels like I could bake potatoes in my abdomen at this point. Few doctors work with natural healing, would prefer herbal/microbiotic type help, not more pills. the cancer was mainly uterine, ovarian and cervival but spread to the bladder, urethreas...now years later..the words the doctors told me are possibly happening..they had said eventually the adhesions would hurt so bad I would return to the hospital to have them cut...but its the cutting that causes adhesions! That doesnt make sense! And any suggestions for internal radiation burns? I HATE drinking herbal concoctions, but will gladly encapsulate..and...yes if I have to, would drink about anything to stop this pain! Help!
