managed to survive three types of third stage cancer, even outlived my doctor, but now dealing with radiation burns and adhesions..incrediable painful..and causing other issues now. Radiation back when I had my surguries they found out later continue to "microwave" the area the beam was aimed at, forever..feels like I could bake potatoes in my abdomen at this point. Few doctors work with natural healing, would prefer herbal/microbiotic type help, not more pills. the cancer was mainly uterine, ovarian and cervival but spread to the bladder, urethreas...now years later..the words the doctors told me are possibly happening..they had said eventually the adhesions would hurt so bad I would return to the hospital to have them cut...but its the cutting that causes adhesions! That doesnt make sense! And any suggestions for internal radiation burns? I HATE drinking herbal concoctions, but will gladly encapsulate..and...yes if I have to, would drink about anything to stop this pain! Help!

I read the queston about why do I keep going back to the doctors, ect...welp: I dont. That was what I was told years ago would eventually bring me BACK into their world of "healing". I have taken charge of my health, or would not have made it 23 years..so, to that person:sorry, but you are off base.
as to the rest, thank you..I do indeed follow a microbiotic diet for the most part..yes, I do slip and have foods at times that my body lets me know within minutes was a bad, bad mistake. no white sugar, lots of water, vitamins, ect. and read the labels of the foods I do chose and am an herbalist because of what happened to me, in fact I can proudly say I have helped many other cancer victims, become survivors. My problem is that the adhesions, and radiation burns from 1983 are manifesting despite my best efforts.was thinking of using aloe internally. I also now do the Relay for Life events, which I would not do at first, now I find being with other survivors gives HOPE.
thanks all.

I'm so sorry for what you are having to go through! I know that there is a "lotion" called Bag Balm (it's actually in a tin and inside is a bag with the "lotion" in it). This has done wonders for radiation burns...but on the skin, not inside.
I do not know what to use inside. I know adhesion's really hurt and cutting could make more; however, maybe the adhesion's that would be made from cutting would be less than what is inside from the burning?
I have a few friends that have undergone radiation and are having to do it now so I will ask them if they know of anything to help the burning inside. If so, I'll get right back on here and let you know! The power of knowledge that comes with living through it is so much greater than learning from a doc, sometimes!
Bless you and prayers are coming for you!

Yes!
Go get some vitamin E oil, and aloe vera oil, and mix them.
Use it like a salve.
I had MAJOR radiation to my head(brain) and it itched, burned, peeled, everything.
I do hope you have pain meds, this is NOT something to 'brave'.
Are you in a cancer group where someone has been through this themselves?
You need to up your vitamins, and eating veggies. You need to really work to eat and be well, eat well, not frozen meals, or bad foods (fried, fake sugars, things like that)
Chinese food without MSG, have some Won Ton Soup, that cures anything(oh,wait, I think that's jsut my preference...it sure was nice to get won ton soup with every meal at UCSF, even breakfast).
And LAST of all, and MOST important...
See a dermatologist.
They deal with problems with skin, and damage to the skin, maybe they could help.
I hope this helps, I know it's a total pain.
Smile. You're alive. Isn't it GREAT when you outlive someone who said you'd most probably die?

get some really high quality vitamin A and D cream, combined in one tube, it is marvelous on the skin for any kind of sore, burn, even your type. make sure it is pure and not full of a bunch of other ingredients. and if you take one drop of tee tree oil you can mix that in before you rub it on.....but the A+D will do very nicely.
after any kind of abdominal surgey you have to walk as soon as you can, if they will let you, that first night after surgery you walk slowly and gently to the bathroom to pee, not a bed pan, and rub your tummy gently every day for at least 6 weeks, in a clockwise direction so that the adhesions dont form in the first place. you can also gently massage away adhesions, but it hurts a bit and you have to be careful...

Study on the Internet about burns and what is written about how to treat and heal them.
Why do you keep going to doctors ?
They still have not cured what ails you.
Your barbaric treatment reminds of the blood letting as a cure, and the consequent deaths, in the middle ages.
If these people did not work on you they would not make the income they do.
It is your choice.
On the bright side.
The body will always try to heal itself, and will,
given the foods it needs to do so.
Study human nutrition and its effects on the body.
You have been whining to the wrong people too long.
Put yourself in charge of your body.
Humans are omnivorous primates learn how to eat and live like one.

Hmmm, not sure. My mom had bad radiation burns with her treatment for breast cancer. She tried everything...even Solarcaine, the stuff used for sunburns you get at the beach. It helped a little, but there wasn't much they could do for her. Good luck, and good for you for being a survivor! I lost my mother to stage 4 breast cancer last month.
