I've read that lowering inflammation is a deterrent to cancer. Is the lowering of inflammation related to the blood alkalinity?Contrary to what we think, I heard that lemons create alkalinity in the body?

They just took down this wooden park that my neighborhood had. They took it down because the stuff they treated the wood with caused cancer. I am 12 and I used to play on this park every single day when i was like 5 years old or something like that. Could I get cancer from that? Or not. Or would i have it already??

Yesterday I found out my aunt has stage 4 liver cancer that has spread. theyve given her 6 mos. My cousin has told me to call her today, and I dont know how. I dont know what to say. I know to say nice positive things but how do I not say anything about death? I know she will. She's my favorite aunt and we're very close. I just don't know how to have this conversation with her. I will try to not cry, but what if she does? I'm still trying to understand whats happening here. I dont know how to comfort myself. How do I comfort her? I live in NY & shes in CA, so its not like I can just go visit. Phone calls are all we have left & I just dont know how to make the first call. What if my uncle gets on the phone? I guess he's falling apart and has said he's going to kill himself when she goes. How do I comfort him??? Please help!!

My aunt has stage 4 liver cancer that has spread to her spleen and pancreas. They said she has 6 mos. She's been very sick for 2 mos now, and was admitted to the hospital last night for pain and trouble breathing. Shes on oxygen. They said she's a 10 on a 1-10 scale. They said shes had it for prob 4 yrs. Our family is devestated. Her daughter who is my cousin, is my best friend. She's only 28, my aunts 54. Im in New York, theyre in California. I moved 7 mos ago. I wish I knew then. Does anyone have any advice or know about this. Does 6 mos mean 6 mos or sooner? or longer? Since she's so sick now, is she going to die soon? How do I be there for my cousin when I'm so far away? I dont have the $ to fly there. Death is so sad. How do you say goodbye? What do YOU say?? Im supposed to call my aunt tonight, she'll only be able to listen. What do I say without crying my head off? She's my favorite aunt, this isn't supposed to be happening. Not yet. Thanks for listening
Jenna

My mom has colon cancer, she just had a non-reversable colostemy. The cancer has spread to her liver, lungs and lymph nodes. The doc said that 3 weeks ago, he would not have recommended treatment- but the new clinical trials that JUST came out are very promising. She's 57.

nicotine is addictive right? thats the be-all end-all answer right? i disagree. I DONT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT NICOTINE IN THIS POST...ANYTHING can be addictive if you let it. i think quitting smoking is much like people who have 'depression' and other 'mental illnesses' that are nothing more than an excuse from a weak minded person.

smoking cigs is for followers, people who need to be cool because they aren't their own person. agree or disagree?

I have been diagnose that i may have an advanced stage of cancer. I have been carefully explain that no treatment to cure my disease. At best I may only have a year or less.

They encourage me to fight my disease, while no assurance that I can be cured but at least i will have a bit longer life. I feel that prolong my life for just few months longer is not enough coz I'm still very young.

Help me, how can i accept that i have no cure but only a prolong life at best?
