My cousin 31 yrs. old. was admitted to hospital yesterday. Dr. told him just by touching his liver on the outside, it was very swollen and his blood level was at 7. He was loosing blood. Today they told him he had cancer in his stomach. They are going to remove a tumor he has in his stomach and it seems to be that it spread a little bit to the liver. Anyone know maybe what type of cancer this can be and if it is maybe curable? Dr. did tell him that removing the tumor he should be fine...but speaking of cancer kinda shaky..Anyone know anything aboout this??

My 21month old son has a grape size swollen lymph node on the left side of his neck and a jellybean size tumor on the left side of his collarbone. His blood work came back normal. We meet Tuesday with a Pediatric Surgeon to discuss or options. My question is even though his blood work came back normal can the tumor still be cancerous?

If you had a type of cancer with only a 50% chance of living 5 years what would you do? Would you spend all of your money traveling - buying things you've always wanted - purchasing gifts for friends, eating at great restaurants etc. But if you spend your money this way if you live longer and beat the odds- you could be broke later on. Let me know what you would do (I am in this position at present).

My dad had cancer of the stomach a couple of years ago. He had his stomach removed and a new one made from intestinal tissue. Had chemo & radio and thankfully is now well again.
However the whole family has gone to war with each other laying blame at each other's feet and I have had enough.
From Northern Ireland, diet consisted of fried everything and little fibre, fresh fruit & veg.
Which would be the more likely to have caused the cancer ? My dad smoking or his bad diet ?

I get bone pain mid-shaft of my forearms on both sides, at least a couple times a day. Especially when pressure is put on them. They feel pretty weak, almost like if I put too much pressure on them, they'll snap, and as I feel them, there are some slight bumps and dimples in them. I also sometimes get the same problem on my shins. Could these be symptoms of bone cancer?

With a disease that happens to 1 in 3 of us and kills 1 in 4, I think people always have the attitude that it will never happen to them. With a lack of funding from the public this killing will go on for a long time.
Everybody I know doesnt ever think about it because they dont really know the facts, but me I am worried abput my future. Anyone else think this. probly not.
