Putting anything foreign directly into your lungs can trigger cancer. You must also consider that it could trigger cancer of the lips, tongue, throat . . basically the whole system. No one knows what will cause one person to get the cancer while someone else does not. However, WHO recognizes that people who smoke are at a higher risk for developing some type of cancer than most other people.

As unpopular as it is in most circles . . I'd suggest moderation. Just living can be a risk. So, enjoy a good cigar on occasion, just don't make it a habit.

Dunno what a Black & Milds is but I know smoking sucks. Glad to see you're not going to allow yourself to become addicted to it. That is just too easy to do, and cigarette companies know it. They need new customers to replace the ones that die. Cancer is a possibility for anyone who smokes or is around smoke. A non-smoking waitress got lung cancer from secondhand smoke alone. Everyone probably knows someone who has died or will die due to smoking. Now unless this was some super-nasty stuff you've inhaled, I'd say just leave it be and don't worry too much about it. You probably coughed a lot - a good natural reaction to what you might have breathed in.

Of course. It's even possible to develop lung cancer never having smoked a thing in your life.

You bet your boots you can. Smoking is smoking. Anybody that tells you that you are smoking safer is a fool. Do you remember when the cig. co. were saying the samething. They were liars, & so many of us young suckers. Many are now paying the price.
