How can I prevent lung cancer?

Our family has a long history of lung cancer though none of us smoke.

You must be kidding. Smoking is the very worst thing you can do and is one of the biggest reasons for lung cancer as well as other cancers. This is the biggest like I have ever heard. Whoever made this statement needs to wake up.

Known risk factors for lung cancer include: smoking, exposure to second hand smoke, air pollution, low intake of fruits and vegetables, high intake of foods rich in fat, asbestos, exposure to radon, and other environmental exposures.

Well don't start smoking and avoid second hand smoke as much as you can. And eat a healthy balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables for protective antioxidants.
