The people or person making fun of anyone with any disease at all is a very immature person, pay them no mind and try to educate them about the effects of the disease and remind them that someday they or someone they love may contract this dreaded disease and how would they feel about being teased about such a misfortune. Cancer is such a terrible disease to have to go through. I don’t know what kind you have but I hope it is one of the ones that have a high recovery rate. Keep your spirits dreams and hopes soaring high. A good attitude will help you beat this disease, I know it is and will be hard but have all the treatments your doctor wants you to have no matter what the chances of recovery is. If there is only a slight chance of recovery remember that the doctors have been wrong before. Wishing you a speedy remission and a happy healthy life. §

Having been through cancer treatment this yr. Do I ever hear you.I won too. I am so grateful for I intended to live for a long time yet. To tell others that while it was the hardest thing I ever had to do, there was also a very positive experience about it. I had a close friend who was a cancercare driver for me. A big commitment for her, yet she finally got up the courage to say those words too. The people I met, & the comradary that developed between us through those monthes. Perfect strangers & yet we would go out of our way to help each other. People of every nationality, some barely specking english yet we found a way to talk, & enjoy each other. What did bother my heart, since I'm a mother & gramma, was the children. That hurt. Yet their strength & courage amazed me. Those who make fun of others for any reason, will get their comin-ups some way, at some time. You are tough & strong that will take you along ways in this world. God Love you.

Some people deal with things differently than others. And some people are just plain mean. To make fun of somebody for having cancer would be you are either ignornant to it, don't understand it (thus dealing with it differently) or you are just an idiot who will get yours eventually. People are people - cancer makes them no different to me than somebody who doesn't have cancer. Granted - i have a lot more repsect for somebody who is diagnosed with Cancer and dealing with all the issues it brings but i'm not going to not like them or not associate with them b/c of it? Ugh - stupid people in this world just bug me - i wish we could all ship them off to their own island somewhere. Those folks i know with cancer and their families are the best people i've met in my life - they are thankful FOR every second and everything - it's just amazing.

I think people that have cancer are wonderful and awesome.Kids with cancer don't take life for granted as some kids that don't have cancer.I got cancer last year when I was 14.I am now 16 and don't have it anymore. At first I didn't want to tell anyone one because they act differently around me.But now I don't care.I am glad I got cancer it has opened up my eyes.

The person that made fun of them well be paid back some how. My dad just died in July of lung cancer, and although I didn't ever make fun of people, I didn't pay any attention to caner. But seeing my dad suffer, it is a NASTY, NASTY diesease and there needs to be more money to find a cure. To the person that made fun of a cancer paitent, I hope you rot in hell !!!!!!!!!!!

Cancer is just apart of life, sure you can look for a cure and I'm glad people are, but until then it'll have to be accepted and we'll have to simply accept what we're doing about it and what cancer is doing to us.
