I see a number of posters who constantly post alternative treatments for cancer (emu oil capsules, high dose Vitamin D, colonics, Ayurveda, various diets, etc.). Often these treatments are very simple and do not act with other medicines.

While you may believe your promoted treatment is a cure, how do you feel about all the other alternative "cures". You got to figure all of them cannot be right. Right?

My father has a very large brain tumor. It wasn't that bad about a year ago but he was never ever to get any help to pay for the medications to make it go away. It is now to large to have surgery thats why he needs the medication. The medicine for a months worth is close to 1000 dollars and he cant afford it. He has trouble even working do to his condition. He has gotten really bad and i have no idea what to do. We can't seem to get help from anywhere. If any of you have had any experience with this i would greatly appreciate any advice you could give. thank you.

I've heard and read that radiotherapy is most effective against "early stages" of lung cancer. Usually how long are these "early stages?" One to twelve months? One to six? Help please!

I know that people who go through chemotherepy that have cancer are worried about loosing their hair and they feel really self concious about it. I was just wondering why don't they shave their head when they first start chemo so then they dont have to worry about loosing their hair becasue it will already be made into a wig, and it will look the same. It seems like it would be better to that then get a wig from Locks Of Love becasue this way you are guarenteed to get a wig and its your hair, not a strangers!! Just wondering why people dont do this...

I have had a couple of swollen lymph nodes on the right side of my neck for about a year. They are only about the size of a pea and have only very minimally increased in size. They do not hurt at all. PLEASE don't say "go to the doctor"! I just want to know...wouldn't they get bigger? When would I begin to get sick if it were something? I know that I don't have mono or hep or anything because I work in the medical field and get tested yearly.

She told me not to feel guilty, what does that mean?
She seemed like she was very calm about this, and she only found out 3 weeks ago.
I'm still in the denial/shock stage, and she is a very important and dear friend. She helped me and listened and suggested and took me to classes on elder care prior to my mother's passing. I don't know what I will do without this special friend in my life. It seems like she is saying her good-byes, and not expecting the chemo to work. she doesn't believe in chemo, but is doing one more round for her family. she herself, has only known for 3-4 weeks.
She says it happens, and doesn't expect the medical treatments to work, as it's now spread into her hip, rapidly.
