Do they want sympathy? Do they want you to act like it's not there? Do they just want you to listen?

I'm really worried about my mom. She has only 27 percent lung capacity. She's been a smoker for over fifty years. Sadly. She spat up a small amount of blood recently, too.

Her doctor had done several tests, including a cat scan. Now, he is ordering a bronchoscopy. Does this, most likely, mean that she has a mass? A nurse mentioned, inadventently, that she did.....but, the doctor has not said that.

I'm really very worried. I have a bad feeling. I lost my dad to lung cancer.

What do you honestly think? Should I prepare myself for bad news?

My grandmother has a large brain tumor and we don't know if it's malignant or not. She had a full body scan today, but the MRI won't be read until monday. However, I have the MRI on a CD. Is there a website with more information about this? Is there some online forum or service willing to help read MRI's?

I understand that TTP a measure of time...but what about PFS? Is it a measure of time or is it a rate? What group of subjects is censored for each of these two measurements (e.g., non-progressive, alive)?

am participating in a Relay for Life sponsored by the American Cancer Society and as the team captain i need to think of a team name. I was hoping to use the product (red) idea but i can't think of anything cancer related. It can either be at the begining or the end or have a "hidden message"... please help! Try to use a word, or phrase with something cancer related. I will take any and all ideas. Thank You!!

My sister just passed away on Tuesday, she had cervical cancer and found out in November and doctors said it was too advanced. She was only 45 years old and she went to the gyn every year for her pap smear. So where did they go wrong or how come it wasn't detected? She was very health consious.
Please help me understand, I say this is not fair!!!!

there are strong scientific suspicions that
some of the chemicals found in the environment, including those used in cosmetics and
other personal care items, might increase the risk of developing breast cancer, especially
if there is heavy exposures before the age of 25. ......can I hear your opinion guys about it?
