I love to quilt, but not that good at it, yet I heard there was an Amish quilt, made w/ Cockatiels on it? If this is true, I'd gladly pay the shipping and the cost of a copy of the pattern- I lost my special friendly cockatiel,in July 2006, and just want something to remind me of him , besides his picture, so i was told , there is a quilt w/ Cockatiels, made by the Amish?Thank- you, Moira

I'm thinking hats, booties, Mary Janes, maybe even sweaters and blankets - but do hand knit items sell on eBay? Would they sell for enough to make it worthwhile - considering the cost of yarn, listing fees, and final value fees? Not to mention the time it takes to make each one...

i have this zippo that i recieved used from a friend, and it was empty so it never lit and i dont know if it ever lit for my friend, but i read that rubbing alcahol will work in a zippo. so. i filled it up and pulled the wick out to the top of the chimney all fresh and everything, and the flint is good (sparks every time) but it just wont light. I even lit a match to it, and it still didnt work. why not?

I'm going to make a video with my friend and I in it. In the video, I want to simulate a book-burning. How do I make some realistic-looking flames that are completely safe and don't actually harm the book? I don't want post-production effects. I want to be able to actually DROP the book into the "flames" during the video. Any good ideas?

I'm asking this for someone else, the following is all his:

My grandfather, gave me his stamp collection when he passed away... 10,000+ Stamps. Some from the 1800's. Just today i started looking at them, searching eBay, and that sort of thing.

Here's the first American stamp i found in eBay.

As you can see, worth $195,000USD. Maybe more. So, i turned to the American section of my grandfathers stamp book... and look what i found...

Here is a comparison shot - eBay stamp on the left, my stamp on the right:

At least three times per year, I put together a box of assorted travel-size tissue packs (the ones that are 10 in a package) and send them to Italy. Some are found at Hallmark gift stores, while others are found at party supply stores and even book stores. There are all sorts of brands--not just Kleenex. In fact, it never occurred to me that other countries have their own assorted brands and designs. So the ones I send from the U.S. are but a small contribution to a really big and unusual collection from all over the world. If you would like to view it, you can find it at: http://www.silviofioravanti.it/fazzoletti.php.
I was just wondering what other vast collections there are.
