Does anyone have a quilt pattern w/ cockatiels on it?

I love to quilt, but not that good at it, yet I heard there was an Amish quilt, made w/ Cockatiels on it? If this is true, I'd gladly pay the shipping and the cost of a copy of the pattern- I lost my special friendly cockatiel,in July 2006, and just want something to remind me of him , besides his picture, so i was told , there is a quilt w/ Cockatiels, made by the Amish?Thank- you, Moira

My condolences on the loss of your pet.

I did a quick web search for a cockatiel quilt and found nothing. I did, however, find this site that sells quilt fabric squares with a cockatiel picture on it: http://www.dogonitgallery.com/bird006.shtml
The site also has instructions for making a lap quilt using these squares.

As an alternative, you could print your photos onto fabric and use them as qult blocks. Ink-jet printer fabric sheets are available at craft and fabric stores. Some are not washable, so read the label carefully to get the kind that will work best for you.
