I stopped playing video games altogether right around the time the first Halo game was becoming an epidemic. I watched friends drop out of college for that boring cartoon-like joke of a game. I played both 1 and 2 for about 10 minutes each time, and found it to be pathetically bad and in no way enjoyable both times. Even when I killed another player, I felt no sense of accomplishment.

Historically, I've appreciated the fun quality of all sorts of video games. Sports, first-person shooters, racing, etc. I found not one single redeeming quality in Halo or Halo 2. What was it with those games?

In the film Hero there is a scene at a 'chess house' where two characters are playing game where white and black stones are being placed on a eight by eight board. I'm trying to find out what game this is.

It seems that most people think it is Go(WeiQi, Baduk), but I really don't buy it. First off, Go stones are played on the intersections of the grid, not in the squares. Go boards are generally 19x19, there are also smaller boards like 13x13 and 9x9, so the fact that in the film there is an even amount of spaces tells me that it isn't Go.

I considered that it might be Othello(reversi), but the board position would be illegal by the rules of othello.

I also considered that it might be an asian varient of chess, but none of these are played by placing stones. They generally have pieces which you move around the board like regular chess.

Anyways, does anyone have any idea what game this is?

I would like an old sea map for a mew and the only way I have heard of to do that is a old sea map. I would really like a mew. Also how can i get a Ho-oh and Lugia, how do I get those in any pokemon game except gold, siliver, or cristle. Today I bought this Pretty Petals craft kit to make fake flowers. I'm supposed to put wires in petal shaped things and paint them and once it dries it will supposedly makes flower petals that look like stained glass.

But in the directions it says after painting to wait 8 to 12 HOURS for them to dry. That just doesn't seem right at all. Could it be a misprint?
