Some friends and I are having a girl's night at Foxwoods in CT. What does one wear to a casino? I've never been to one before. Any ideas for a cute outfit are appreciated.

Also how much money should one typically bring for one meal, a drink or two, and a tiny bit of gambling? Thanks!

Dress nicely, but don't go over the top.

Bring only enough money, Its gonna be sad if you lose a lot...

If you're basing your expectations on James Bond movies, like I did, you're gonna be in for a shocker. Basically, it's "no shirt, no shoes, no service".

However, I'm sure you want to immerse yourself in the experience and have fun in the process. I'd recommend a Las Vegas themed tee-short or sweater. Something with shiny gold stuff on it is even better. And don't be afraid to dress tacky (tackily?) Earrings that look like dice wouldn't hurt, either. Cites below are some randomly selected links for some items you might consider acquiring.

Foxwoods is a *very* pricey casino. Expect to part with $50 to 75 at an absolute minimum.

I don't think special clothing is that important in a gamble-ing casino.......Everybody's trying to get rich quick,,,,but very few do.

I'd set a limit on your gambling money.$50 ?

You can play Keno with a few bucks on every game and if you can hit 5 for 5 or 6 for 6 the payout is pretty good.

Why don't you give the O.K to the Narragansetts to open a casino?

Don't be nervous. You can wear anything you want to a casino. You see in movies that people are dressed in tuxedos and fancy dresses, but that's not how it is. If you are having a girls night out, you can just wear what you feel comfortable in. There's people that go to casinos still wearing their dirty work overalls.

Dress as if you were going on a nice date, to impress.

As far as how much money to bring......The best rule of thumb on this is.... dont take any more than you are willing to lose.

Be sure to leave your credit/debit cards at home so you won't be tempted to over indulge. There is no such thing as "a tiny bit of gambling"....it is "addictive". So keep a watch on it.

Best of luck to you.

P.S. - If you play at a card table, be sure to tip the dealer. They are paid below mimimum wage, as are waitresses.

Depends where you're going to go in Foxwoods.

If you're just going to gamble, then dress casual.

If you're going to go to B.B. King's (club), or 1 of the nicer restaurants, then you should dress appropriately.

Drinks are expensive in most places there, but you get free drinks while you play the machines or table games, so take advantage of that.

Need a guide? lol.
