My grandmother wants to put all £593,002.70 on a horse called Sailor Jack that's running at the weekend. She wants to do this because she's pretty sure that her dad was a sailor.

I've tried to convince her to give the money to the kids when she goes, but she's determined to go down to Coral tomorrow and put the bet on.

First of all, can anybody think of a way to make her see sense?

Secondly, is it legal to lock an oldie up if they're losing their marbles and whatnot?
