It could be a number of things, the red light is just telling you something is wrong. It could be that something isn't fully plugged in, or that it is over-heated, or there could be something wrong inside the console. If you can't figure it out contact xbox.com or call 1(800) 4my-xbox

Those are the three rings of death, try replugging everything and restarting you xbox, if this does not work let it cool down for a day, then try again. If none of this works you will have to send it in to microsoft for inspection. I had this problem once but the only thing that was wrong was that the plugs were loose.

yeah hopefully you still got warrently or go have fun getting a new and spend $300 if r going buy the cheap one or $400 the cool one that i got.
