i am 21 a girl. and i did a myspace just to chat with my friend Brit. its cool because you can find all your friends. but since your only 12, i just want to say that if your mother trusts you enough you should have a myspace. but there are always gonna be creeps out there, so don't give any personal info and be aware that you may think your talking to a hot 13 year old and you could really be talking to a fat hairy 31 year old. but if you are smarter than that, you should be just fine. if you were my kid, I'd tell you what i just did, and let you prove yourself. have a blast ;)

Myspace is ok, but you have to be VERY careful!!
There are Internet predators on sites like that just looking for young girls to chat with and who try and set up "sexual meetings" with them.
I know you may hate hearing this, but listen to your parents....I don't think its a good idea for someone your age to have a myspace account. If you so, let your parents keep tabs on what you are doing and who is talking to you.

My mom is a Principal and she has told me stories about myspace...don't get one. Almost anybody can find your myspace. It's like a chain, for example, someone has a friend,who has a cousin,who lives next door to someone,who has a younger brother, who goes to school with your friend's sister. If they all have a myspace (which is possible because myspace is very popular.) they can go through their "friends list" and eventually find you on your friends "friend list". It sounds impossible but trust me it can happen. A lot of the people are on myspace to make friends and talk to there existing friends, but there are still bad people who look for look for vulnerable people, with bad intentions, trying to make friends with strangers. It's not a good website. Listen to your parents, they are trying to protect you.

I don't think you should have one eather. Sites like that are for people looking to date...they can say its a friends sit all they want but its not! I don't think you are ready to be on that site. You have good parents who love you. Be happy they are in your life.

I love it, but it can be dangerous if you're not careful who you speak to. They have upgraded their privacy settings for kid's accounts. Have your parents make a dummy account to see how secure it is.

I like it!
but sometimes it gets annoying,
if your going to be talking to people you dont know then dont get one.
make your profile private and only add people you know!
