they're working on an expansion for pets.... so don't worry :-) u'll get an expansion!!

Personally I thought the 'stuff' pack for Sims 2 was the most attractive of the expansions. It's the only one I'm buying.

They probably only make expansions for the games that are "hot" at the time and only if they can make a significant profit. They are probably working on new games so they don't have time to put out decent expansion packs anymore.

its simply because ea has other games in the works. if they spend all there time working on expansions you would never see new stuff. they have lots of games on the drawing board. but to get so hung up over one type of game. like the sims 2 how would you expect they ever get maybe like the sims 3 out. expansions esentially are not meant to give a game a longer life. bt to prolong you rneeds till they can get a whole new game out.

Why don't you write to them and tell them what you think of their packaging. If they get enough complaints, maybe they'll change it.
