I know about buffalo, Caribbean, teriyaki, bbq and garlic. What else is there? I work at a restaurant and my boss wants to have a dozen differnet flavors of wings but that's all I got 5 of them.

take an apple and cut it in half put lemon juice on one side and not the other. Then let it set and one side turns brown, but not the side with the lemon juice. That stayed fresh

of deciding what the elderly will be having on christmas dinner (believe it or not, we are housing 120 [very spacious and lesiure conditions, it's great] and more then half of them will be having dinner at the nursing home. some have families to visit on christmas though).
Now, I want opinions. Take in consideration we have to be very picky with what we feed the elderly because they are in the home since they're unable to care for themselves and many of them are unable to eat certain things.
With that in consideration, here's what I have figured.

This was $22 dollar filetted Porterhouse - so I decided I'd take my chances... It was defrosted all right and smelled as though it was on its way gone bad.. Eww, that smell, was there, but not very very strong... This is what common sense told me to do.. That smell and slime is bacteria - so I rinsed the meat in cold cold water over and over a few times... Got rid of the surface slime and the mild stench.. Then I put my usual rub on it and on the grill it went... Heat kills any remaining bacteria... Guess, what it tasted deliscious and I never got sick.. That was 2 days ago... So, just wanted to share what I found out.. Just wash it with cold and grill it.. It will be fine... Comments?

I know that, for example, noodles and ranch taste good together, or plain potato chips with mustard tastes good, but what else is there? I'm eager to try something new.

Hi there. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to work out the points on this. I don't follow the points system hardcore, but I try to stick to themas much as possible. The trouble is, I like to cook, and by cook I mean I don't really measure anything.

Anyway, tonight for dinner I made tofu with carrots and peppers. I marinated the tofu, but not all of the marinade seeped into the tofu. How would I count the points?

I tend to do stuff like this a lot and know how to count points if I don't always measure, but just eyeball things.

Thanks!

I have had two bottles of unopened white wine in the fridge since June. They are the last of the leftovers from my wedding. Will they be ok to serve or do I need to just buy a couple of new bottles for this weekend?
Thanks!
