I live in europe I have a small after class potluck party in my language school.I am planning to make tuna cutlets (made with tuna and mashed potato) in the morning. I start from home by 8.00 and the party starts at 11. There is no way I can reheat the cutlets. Will it be safe and good enough to give? Is it appropriate to take cutlets where everyone are expected to bring some small snack? Thanks

I am making an egg nog cheesecake and I have many different kinds of cookies, but I would like another dessert to offer as I am serving 18 people. The dinner is very elegant and I would like an elegant dessert to accompany. Any ideas?

Is it a honey and nut cheese, or is fruit like pears better on the platter with it? Thanks and Merry Christmas!

I need to think of something to make for a Christmas gathering type affair. People are all bringing different dishes. Doesnt have to be traditional Christmas fare. At this rate all that people are getting off me is a bag of Doritos...any ideas?

For the last 29 years of my life, my family has had a traditional Christmas dinner (ham, mashed potatoes,gravy,stuffing,homema... bread, desserts, etc.) at my Aunt's house on Christmas Day.
My Mom just called me and told me that my Aunt doesn't feel like cooking the traditional dinner this year. She was just diagnosed with an incurable disease and is very stressed right now,so I understand completely.
I offered to cook, but my Aunt says she would rather just have finger foods for the dinner. That's fine, but I think she's gone "off her rocker" cuz she is baking a ham, sweet potatoes, and also BURRITOS!!! (???!!!) She wants my Mom and I to bring finger foods to go along with the ham, sweet potatoes and burritos. My mom and I are up in the air over what to bring cuz we need to feed about 20 people, and we're thinking that finger foods aren't going to satisfy all the hungry men.
The things we've thought of so far are:
deviled eggs
cheese,crackers,meat tray
chips/dips
Desserts
Any ideas??

My family is famous for spilling these things in cars, as this is the "pot luck" season, I have been asked to bring in a dish. Are there any products out there for travelling, I haven't been able to find one.

I have to fix something to take to my fiance's mom's family Christmas Dinner Friday evening. I was told to bring a finger-food and left up in the air after that. I have been on cooks.com and allrecipes.com trying to find something. But I would like to get recipes from people who have actually MADE the recipe, that way you can tell me if its really good or not. SO PLEASE, send me recipes that you have actually tried and let me know how it turned out. Please don't copy and paste from a recipe website...THANKS!
