Is it a honey and nut cheese, or is fruit like pears better on the platter with it? Thanks and Merry Christmas!

It's such a creamy cheese, I would go with some acidty to cut the fat. Pears would definatley be a nice compliment. You could also incorporate some crystalized lemon or orange peel. Perhaps include a nice jelly, like apricot, gooseberry, quince (quince is the popular choice, but I like to give my guests new experiences) apricot chutney or jelly, rose jelly. Some nice violet candies.

I love a good harvarti... I am pretty basic... I put pear & apple slices on a serving tray with stone wheat crackers... I love the nutty flavor of stone wheat crackers contrasting the mellowness of the harvarti!

Pears and apples would be nice with Havarti, as would sesame crackers. I personally like thinly sliced smoked turkey with it as well. MMM...
