Beer, Wine & Spirits - November 2007

Who heads off the the Pub/Bar for a few drinks after Thanksgiving Dinner? I know most Pubs open up around 6pm on Thanksgiving. Is this some kind of traditon?

i was in europe this summer and got drunk twice at the clubs. i am only 15. since i have been home, i wanted the feeling again so i drank by myself some vodka... and beer. but not enough to get drunk. is this a really bad sign? alcohol addiction runs in my family... i just like drinking thats all..

We are having our yearly work party which is a super fun night, but their will be alot of drinking that night I am sure. Does anyone have any suggestions on preventing hangovers? Yes, and obviously not drinking would be one way but I will be so does anyone have any suggestions other than to not drink in the first place?

I've heard that gin is the worst liquor you can drink because it kills more brain cells. Is that true? If so, why? And how much worse is it them like, rum or vodka?

How do we know if we are buying a dry Riesling or not?

My wife and I had a dry one that we thought was really good and then we tried another brand and it was way too sweet for us.

How can we know it is going to be dry before buying it?

you pour some vodka out of a bottle...then fill it with water? Does it still taste the same if you shake it up...i know that if you put it in the freezer the water will freeze but vodka doesnt...but i mean does it still taste the same?

I need personalized cigars for a company give away. I've seen Thompson Cigars, but I dont need a box. Just a lot of generic cigars, with a personalized company band (put on by the retailer). Does anyone have any ideas of where else I can look.
