I haven't personally, but I've taken care of patients going through alcohol withdrawal. They become confused, and hallucinate. Most common hallucination seems to be seeing bugs crawling on the walls or ceiling. They become shaky, irritable. Some even have seizures.

I did not and neither do I intend to. You have to really be a alcoholic to the highest degree to have it. Anyway, I'm not joking when I tell you that people in that condition become totally confused, may have seizures and see things like rats, bugs and spiders and destroy everything around trying to fight them.

They are not pleasant. I haven't experienced them, thankfully. They are much scarier to the observer than the person having them.

The person having them is a a state of delusion.

And they can cause death, they need to be treated by a medical doctor.

BTW: Alcohol is the ONLY drug that can kill you by detoxing.

Peace.
