I've heard that gin is the worst liquor you can drink because it kills more brain cells. Is that true? If so, why? And how much worse is it them like, rum or vodka?

All drinking alcohol contains ethanol alcohol, whether it is beer, wine, gin, vodka or any other. The problem with gin is that it can be distilled to be an extremely high proof liquor.. of course this is true of any liquor. So no it is not worse for you.

Any alcohol in excess is bad for your health. Not sure how one 80 proof liquor could be much worse than the other when it comes to brain cells. The thing that bothers me about Gin is that by itself it smells like rubbing alcohol to me. Kinda harsh.

Bad gin is just awful. Bombay is the least expensive gin I will drink. Any lesser gin tastes like turpentine and gives me an awful hangover, even if I don't get drunk.

When I was about 40, I drew up a list of things I would not drink, because of my experience with them. The list included: Gin, any vodka over 80 proof, any whiskey over 86 proof, rum, tequila, any inexpensive wine, any inexpensive whiskey.
