This was all while listening to Club Tropicano by Wham. We also used to drink a cocktail called a Red Witch - cider, pernot and blackcurrant - absolutely disgusting, but dirt cheap. What did you drink when you were a teenager that you wouldn't touch with a barge pole now?

what do people do after you open a bottle of champagne but did not get to finish its contents. i tried to recork it, but the cork came flying out after a while.

An elderly gentleman friend gave my husband a few bottles of wine. I wanted to discard all of them as the man has probably had them for over 20 years. I have NO IDEA if he kept them properly. They are:

BONGIORNO LAMBRUSCO REGGIANO (which actually has a screw top!)

1975 SIGLO Estate Bottled Rioja (in burlap bag)

1971 CANTINE VILLADORIA Riserva Speciale BAROLO (with stickers and wax seals all over the burlap bag the bottle is in)

1976 BISCARDO RECIOTO DELLA VALPOLICELLA AMARONE

Should I discard them? Or can we drink them?

Is it normal that beer gets me much more drunk then an equivelant amount of liquor? I find when drinking beer with friends, and we are drinking at the same pace, i will be more drunk than them, but when doing shots with the exact same friends at the exact same pace they will be noticibly much more drunk than me while i only have a moderate buzz. Is there going on with my body that makes beer hit me harder?

Someone told me its 100 proof, but I believe its about 75 proof or so. But, i was told i wouldn't be able to handle drinking it straight because it will kill me, lol...meaning I wouldn't be able to handle it. Supposedly it burns extremely bad especially when you breath in. Now, when I drink liquor, I usually drink whiskey sours and adios m*ther f*ckers...which is like 8 shots. Give me some feed back, because I dont wanna look like an idiot in front of people when I drink it tonight. If its really that bad, let me know. Thanks
