what do people do after you open a bottle of champagne but did not get to finish its contents. i tried to recork it, but the cork came flying out after a while.

Get a champagne cork. They keep the bubbles inside and help keep it fresh. I also use it on my 2 liter bottles of soda - it's works wonders. : )

I've never tried this with Champagne, but I have with wine. A lot of liquer stores sell a device for preserving the unused contents of your bottle. Most of these are a special type of cork and a vaccum pump that remove air from the bottle. I don't know if this will help, but if it's an expensive bottle it may be worth the effort. I think I paid $15.00 for my resealing kit.

it will lose it bubbly in a few days. there are special champagne corks

it depends on how long you want to stopr it for, if you will be drinking it the nex day just leave it, any longer it needs to be corked

Why bother storing it just drink it and your problem's solved!!!
