Here is my example of a wine story: (get your crayons)

Nils Venge named the "Scouts Honor" zinfandel after his dog.

This shouldn't be so hard.

Got any like this?

Can anyone answer this one? If I attempt to drink a beer before I fly, if me and my friends have time to spare at the airport (and I always decline now) for a swift pint; even a half of beer will cause me agony when the plane starts to decend near its destination.

As the plane drops I start to get dizzy and excrutiating pain in my head; especially in my eyes. The pain and pressure is so bad I feel my eyes are about to explode. Several times Ive also nearly blacked out.

For obvious reasons I wont now touch any alcohol if im flying. I can also get the same symptons from fizzy drinks. My mates think its funny. What causes it?; they can drink a couple of pints and be fine. I daren't. This only seems to affect me; and only if I drink alcohol. Any ideas?

I work in the liquor trade and I do lots of research for work. Now I find myself almost complusively researching my own cellars.

How many pints can I get down without spewing?

1) 5 pints?

2) 8 pints?

3) Have a nice bottle of Buckfast instead, love.

4) Other (please specify).

No Westies will be harmed in the pursuit of this research.

Do the poll on my blog as well!

I'm going to Paris in March and am wondering if it'll be worthwhile to ship back a case of wine? I'd probably go up to $50 a bottle ($600/case) and shipping would probably be around $150 (that's what it was to ship back some brunnelos from Tuscany). Given that I can't carry wine in a handcarry on a plane anymore and given that I wouldn't put it in baggage, do you think it's worthwhile to ship it? I know it probably depends on how much I like wine and how much money I have to spend. But what would YOU do?

I have found that knowing a silly little factoid or personal thing about the wine-maker, varietal, label artist, etc to throw out there when you are talking to a guest about wine often sways them. I've got close to 600 bottles to work with. I'd like to hear some (TRUE) and hopefully fairly brief stories that can motivate my employees to move some juice.

Everywhere I go, I hear people compare it to Guiness, which it is nothing like. Its sweeter with Honey, and is not quite as filling.

I tend to drink wine less than the others although I do enjoy it. But wine usually gives me very slight dizziness and some sleepiness unlike beer and/or liquor. While I'm on the subject....vodka tends to be the most "upper buzz" than the others. I thought alcohol was alcohol.

Well, I am writing a debate and I am arguring that the gov. shouldn't lower the drinking age. I need some ideas. So far, the other side has argued that people can get married, vote, and go to war and die for their country. What points can I make to these points espically for the war point? Thanks.

Drinking a chilled bottle of Turning Leaf right now and it's not very good for someone who doesn't like the strong alcohol back flavor. Doctor suggested 4 ounces of wine a day with each meal and the wine does make my stomach feel much better, but the alcohol back flavor isn't very good.

I am looking to buy a wine, either for myself or a friend, that can't really stand the "bitter" taste of a fine wine. What would you suggest? I'm not looking for an expensive wine or am I looking for a cheap wine. Thanks in advance!
