I am asking this question to those who have taken a TABC class.

Good Question and I do believe it is 2 Beers per visit to the bar.
Just like you can't drink from a Pitcher!!

Your question is confusing but here goes.
You can only be served one drink at a time if you are consuming them.
You can purchase as many as you please if you are with a group, but you each can only be served one at a time by law.
Most bartenders don't follow this, but if TABC is in the bar and see's someone being served more than one at a time or more than 2 or 3 in an hour the bartender can be cited or arrested for over serving.
And, also the way the law is now the customer can be arrested on site for public intoxication just on the JUDGEMENT (no sobriety test of any kind) of the officer.
Kinda sucks and makes it harder on the bartender too......
