My Grandfather died last year and on sorting through the house my Nan found some old whisky that she has given us, to do with as we please. I don't drink myself and would be interested to know if it is of any value. All Searches have proved fruitless to me apart from suggestions it could be worth around £70-100.

It is a bottles of Black & White Buchanan's Choice Old Scottish whisky. It is 70% Proof and looks to date around 1979. It is unopened and all labelling is in excellent condition.

I would be really grateful of any advice, and if I should want to sell it, where would I start?

I am hoping this link will take you to a picture.

Thanks in advance.

I am living in Italy for a semester. I bought a bottle of Absolut Vodka from the supermarket yesterday, put it in the freezer like I always do, and when I opened up my freezer today the vodka in the bottle was frozen almost completely solid, I'd say at least 95% frozen. I was under the impression that it was impossible for hard liquor to freeze, and have never seen it happen before. What gives?!

Even though i spoke to uk customs, i still find it VERY VERY hard to believe that the UK gov, does't tax imports on vodka (only the VAT). WHATS YOUR VIEW? Many thanks.

The sheriff in the area she drives in has not caught her yet. I don't live around her so it would be impossible for me to watch and then call 911. I am afraid she will kill someone.

I have a bottle that's never been opened. The music no longer plays. I'm trying to see if it's worth selling or drinking it. Would it be okay to drink? It has 1957 on the bottom of the bottle hand written. I've tried googling it but no luck. Any experts out there?

Will the wine be bad? Why did this happen? This is homemade wine from a friend and I always make sure the white wine is on its side during storage to make sure the cork is moist! Help

I've never had it, but what is the difference between it and 'fine' wine?

And can it be drunk as is or is it better mixed with other spirits or carbonated water?

My husband and I are looking for a new wine to try. I'm interested in finding a wine that is dry, has a fruity taste to it, much like a dessert wine. Any suggestions. Thanks.

I know next to nothing about wine. A variety or a specific wine, doesn't matter.
