Are certain types more fattening or are they all the same?

The most caloric beers are typically the heavy, sweet ales. They have a lot of alcohol and a lot of sugar. Stuff like Newcastle Brown Ale, for example.

Probably IPA's....they seem to be heavier....more hoppy.
