Mead -- Well, it's not fruit, but it's honey wine. Very sweet. It's a dessert wine. The brand I love is Chaucer. For Chaucer mead wine, check out:

This might sound really stupid, but it's true......
whatever wine you like!
Try a lot of samples, and find some things you like. Wine preferences are very individual. Don't expect that there are "right" and "wrong" wines. Connosseurs (spelling?) recognize that there are classes of wines that generally go with different foods and settings, but there are no hard and fast rules.
If you're looking for a red wine that's sweet and fruity, try a Sangria for starters. They're getting really popular and they are a very drinkable wine for people that are new to wine. From there you can just have fun experimenting!

Muscat is a light sweet wine. There are many wineries that produce great Muscat. One that is widely distributed is Mondavi's Moscato d'Oro.

Ports are another good sweet wine. Try the Ports from Quady (Madera, CA) or Deaver (Amador County, CA).

Gewurtraminer is a white wine that can be sweet (though not as sweet as Muscats and Port). Fetzer makes an inexpensive one that is nicely balanced and readily available.

German wine is nice spatlase (late grape) or auslasse (later grape). The longer the grape is on the vine the sweeter the wine. I don't like dry wines either. :)
