I mean it tastes like Knats piss anyway - only around 2 or 3%!! but they wont serve you even in restaurants without your passport, even me and i'm 31!! I thought the UK was bad but even here you can have a drink with a meal at age 16 - no wonder Americans cant handle European beers when thet come over

I need help identifying a liquor I tried a couple of years ago. I rarely drink hard liquor, so I'm not sure what it was - I'll try to describe it. It was a medium brown colour (clear), and noticeably thicker than water. It had no taste of grapes or fruit as far as I can tell, and the aftertaste was comparable to caramel and alcohol (obviously). I know it wasn't rum or tequila. Any ideas?

I've decided on a road trip consisting of brewery tours around the Midwest for the Labor Day weekend. From Chicago, are there any recommendations of places within 500 miles? Please give the maker and location….

So here's a story, I drank five or six boulevards, waited a few hours, went to play soccer for 3 hours, running constantly ((supposed to sweat the alcohol out)), brushed my teeth like crazy, drank another soda and lots of water to change the smell, AND chewed some gum. I went to my gf's house six hours after I drank and second thing she said "have you been drinking tonight?". She doesn't care but I hate to smell like alchy so is there any credible tricks I can use to instantly cover it up?

Or if you hail from there, what are some of the prettiest areas to see? I'm going to vacation in the Southeast in a couple months and would like to know what areas are a must to see. I'm not actually a big bourbon fan (but after the trip, who knows?) but I know the area is beautiful and I would like to know what towns to pass through, what roads to drive, what distilleries to see (outside of the obvious).

Yes, I know I could have posted this in travel. More fun here, I guess

I quit drinking 6 months ago because it was killing me.Although I feel 100% better the boredom is killng me. I find it hard going to pubs and talking to girls because I'm in an anxious state due to all the alcohol around me.I'm starting to wonder if sobriety is all it's cracked up to be and I would love to be able to just let my hair down and have a blow out but i daredn't.I'm 36 and struggling to find new things to relace the booze. Is there anyone who's been where i am and got through it that can give me any advice right now cos i feel like i'm wavering
