The body metabolizes one ounce of alcohol per hour. This obviously various with the quantity of alcohol consumption but as a rule of thumb, each drink can take up to an hour to pass. So is the length of time alcohol stays in system same for everybody? Absolutely not.

In large part, it depends on your physiological makeup (e.g., your physical height, weight, your amount of body fat, your age, current state of health, whether or not you exercise mildly-aggressively-or at all). http://www.ohsinc.com/how_long_do_drugs_stay_in_your_system.htm

It depends on how much you drink. I've known people who have blown well over the legal limit up to 10 hrs after stopping drinking. The formula supposedly is a 180lb man can digest 2-3 servings of alcohol (1 beer, glass of wine, or shot of 80 proof liquor per hour). Obviously size, metabolism and how much water is consumed alter the formula.

Actually .. it depends on individual and the level of alcohol.
Alcohol actually gets absorbed into your blood stream, so whether you take it with empty or full stomach do make a difference.

Estimate 1 hour or 2 for < 2 mugs of beer.

Drink up & be Merry!

Cheers ..

One standard drink/shot takes approx. One hour to leave your system. And you can only process alcohol at that rate. So if you take three shots in a row it'll be in your system for the next three hours.
