I mean it tastes like Knats piss anyway - only around 2 or 3%!! but they wont serve you even in restaurants without your passport, even me and i'm 31!! I thought the UK was bad but even here you can have a drink with a meal at age 16 - no wonder Americans cant handle European beers when thet come over

hey come on - responsibilty towards drink is not acheived thru banning it - note prohibition, drug use etc. Binge drinking is a by product of outdated WW1 licencing laws and already in my town (Southend-on-Sea) we have already seen a reduction in drink fuelled violence with 24 hour drinking - as there arent so many people on the streets at the same time. Europeans have a better attitude to drink because of non interferance from govt and time will show whether that will be the answer to our problems. I think you guys from the anti-fun brigade should stay home - you obviously prefer your own company! As for spelling (its this keyboard) but its our bloody language so get stuffed!

Yeah BackMan, Obviously to stop their country turning into a drunken state like the UK.
Under 21s dont know how to drink. The get pi**ed and end up fighting with anyone. Infact, the drinking law should be raised to 21 and maybe, just maybe, decent people could go out for an evening without fear of assault, especially in the big cities.

Sorry, 18 is the age for beer in most states but that doesn't stop the kids from getting beer anyway. We drink imported beers here, mostly from Germany. At any rate, don't drive around in this country because you'll swear all the drivers are drunk - at least they are in my state. When my Dad was a kid he and the others used to ride their bikes alongside the beer trucks (which were open) and swipe the bottles! Think my Dad had more fun than I.

It's all due to that spongiform encephalitis secondary to Mad Cow's Disease that's so rampant in Europe that led to the decision to let children there drink in hope that the alcohol makes its way through the blood-brain barrier and, possibly, stunts the advance of the disease. ( And, we thought OUR U. S. community health care plan is medieval!) Here's one on me, Igor.

Seems to me they've got it right. I had no problem getting served in the USA. I wasn't asked to show ID as I'm obviously over 21.

Why don't they teach you Brits to spell in the UK? You sound like either an alcoholic or an ignorant idiot.
