Singles & Dating - 4 March 2007

Like it says above, My girlfriend is into that really complicated science stuff... and... im not. She has a friend, Matt, who is into it as well and sometimes I wish that i could join the conversations that they have on the subject, but I've tried to study up on the stuff, but it's really pointless. She is smarter than I am and I can deal with that but I'm not sure that we have much to talk about that she is interested in. She always seems bored when we talk on the phone. She cant keep a conversation well. yet, i feel that if i had something to talk about with her it wouldn't be so bad. what do I do to make things better?

Let's say there are two people who I think should be together but one of them is married to someone else. The two people seem to like one another a lot. They are PERFECT for each other! The married one has been married for maybe 20 years so I guess it's hard to hook up with someone else but not impossible right? How do you get those two people together even if one of them is married?

Hi i am 27 and my gf is 18. We really have a good time when we are together even though we have some arguments. I am at a point in life where i want to settle down and she said she will be ok also in a couple of years. Do you think it will make a difference as far as the life of this relationship? I’m 24 & have never been in a relationship, or had any real attention from men. I am not attractive at all and have never been kissed. Physically I’m very odd looking. I’m quiet and terrified of what people are thinking of me. I don’t know how to deal with men. My only ‘experience’ with dating was at 22 at uni, I saw a guy for a month. He was probably just as insecure as I was and we never did any more than hold hands. I get alot of crushes, from a long running crush on a guy at work, to feeling really self-conscious if I sit near a guy on a bus. It’s making me miserable, I would NEVER act on them, but I am so distracted that it can affect my work/ how I behave. I get my romance from books/TV. I used to want a man really badly but now every time I think about it I get panicked. I’m worried that I’ll get into trouble in a few years cos I’m so desperate and I can’t make the longing go away. What can I do to stop wanting a man? How can I let go of the idea of marriage and kids? It hurts.

I always bring a lawn chair, some popcorn, and set up camp in front of the Gorilla Cages. It's kind of an annual tradition of mine. I bring the radio, and play some romantic music as they're going at it. I also like to cheer them on. Is it just me, or does anyone else do this? What are your favorite animals to watch?

ok well i need to know if this is love. Well my crush and i like eachother. im not sure he knows but i know he does because of his signss. its just really obvious. so we always talk and spen so much time together. i have never felt this way about any guy before. i always think about him and when i do i smile, this may sound stupid but i will actually dance and sing around the house thinking about him, sometimes it will get hard to breathe,i get goose bumps, i hate being away from him because i miss him so much. i told myself that its not and its just a crush but am i right??

well, my ex and I , have decided to stay friends after our relationship , but she has moved on and I haven't totally ...We haven't talked for about 2 weeks each other after the breakup , but she initiated the talk again ....I can't tell her to stop talking to me on the msn , right now ....well, I didn't block her, but, I rarely got on msn ..for example, I can spend 2 weeks without logging on to msn and then got back again ...if she's there , she is the one who starts talking ...but, I do that every week , until we find no interest in talking each other again ...and the bond dismissed ..what do you think ? I do that, because in that way, we won't talk very often but we can remian friend without getting into each other life ..what do you think ?

I'm fourteen & I have a great boyfriend. But we'll be talking for hours then he'll randomly be like "ah, okay can I call you back in an hour?" Then he never does. He'll like call me the next day & seems to forget that he said he'd call me before. He just starts talking as if starting back from our previous conversation, meanwhile I've been waiting for his call? I don't get it, he'll just call me back hours after he said he would & just starts talking normally, clearly forgetting his 'promise'.

Every day I go to work I feel sad, I sit next to the guy I liked. He started it all by flirting with me, calling me and emailing me. When i told him we could go do something fun he stopped calling me and didnt' return my calls. But he kept sending me sexual emails and stuff like that. Then we started fighting with each other over stupid things and he'd ask my friend about me, if i was still angry with him.. I asked him directly about his behavior, still he wasn't open with me. Now we just act professional and don't speak much. Well, he tries to talk to me sometimes but I feel so hurt I can hardly speak to him. Do guys ever feel this way? What kind of behavior is this? He doesn't have a gf; i don't know what changed. I want so much to do something hurtful to him to get revenge (sounds bad, i know). I can't change jobs or move my seat. What do I do? Is there hope?
