Every day I go to work I feel sad, I sit next to the guy I liked. He started it all by flirting with me, calling me and emailing me. When i told him we could go do something fun he stopped calling me and didnt' return my calls. But he kept sending me sexual emails and stuff like that. Then we started fighting with each other over stupid things and he'd ask my friend about me, if i was still angry with him.. I asked him directly about his behavior, still he wasn't open with me. Now we just act professional and don't speak much. Well, he tries to talk to me sometimes but I feel so hurt I can hardly speak to him. Do guys ever feel this way? What kind of behavior is this? He doesn't have a gf; i don't know what changed. I want so much to do something hurtful to him to get revenge (sounds bad, i know). I can't change jobs or move my seat. What do I do? Is there hope?

More important than how HE feels is your easing your own suffering. Despite the bad relationship with the guy, you seem still to hope it might be rejuvenated. Otherwise, why would you care if the guy has a broken heart? You have a much better chance of repairing your own broken heart by (1) advancing your skills and standing at work through improving your performance, and (2) developing other relationships -- platonic and otherwise -- with interesting and caring people.

I have a similar scenario. It got out of hand. The boiled down version-men and women can feel strongly about people. When the feelings are not returned-someone gets broken hearted. Men and even some women deny it. I wish that we lived in a "Lifetime" movie also where there is always a happy ending to the story-a picket fence, a dog in the yard, 2.3 kids, and the 50th wedding anniversary:)

Guys suffer from broken hearts also though it seems we are expected to keep it to ourselves and many of us do , some don't . In your situation perhaps you should just go out more often and be open to another relationship . This will get your mind off this man and you will find it less bothersome . That would be one way of taking control of your situation and it would show to him also that your not bothered by him or his interests . Good luck it sounds like an awkward situation to be in .

It's hard to determine what really happend because this account is so one sided. Guys are funny. I think he does like you. But he wasn't sure if he wanted to pursue a relationship with. Now he still likes you, and wants to be friends with you, but you probably freaked him out. My advice to you is to know that guys are stupid. But that doesn't mean that they are bad. They just process things differently from girls. If he is worried about you and your friendship, clearly that means he cares for you. He just has just can't express what he wants, or possibly even know what he wants. Don't be sad. He still likes you, and you still like him. Instead of pushing and wanting more, just have fun with what it is. Flirting.

It's normal. Everyone goes through similar experiences. Keep a smile on your face and look for new people to make life positive for you.
