There is a guy at work (in a restaurant). I think that he finds it difficult to talk to me. Like the other day, no other co-workers were around except for me and him... he walked past me and lingered for a while (like he's thinking) before asking me about school (we're both college students). He often comments on how smart I am (I have 3.9 college GPA).

I don't know if he likes me or he's just shy-- well, I'm kinda shy too.

I also don't see him a lot though... just a couple of times a month since we usually don't work at th same time.

He's really nice to me-- but in a modest way. He does little things to make my job easier. The thing is that I kind of like him too and I don't know if this is clouding my judgement.

Thanks for your answers.

I am 33.
I work two low-paying jobs.
I still live at home.
I have never had a girlfriend.
I am still a virgin.
I have a big nose, a skinny face, and balding.

How do I stop feeling like a loser?
Or am I loser for the rest of my life?

sent him with my number in it for him to call me because i found that his sister had died and his finance had to have opened it and called my cell phone number leaving a message of thank me for the card tell me that she was his finace. So we i saw him today i thought i would mention it to him and he acted surprised and explained what happened and how learned of it and he laughed like he was crazy ,about the whole thing and said nothing and was smiling and told me he would see me later. Well, did i do the right thing or what? It sound like to me that the girl has engaged herself to him and he not to her i'm i crazy? Do the math.

Everything was going good, as far as I was concerned. Maybe I was going too fast but I thought we had an understanding of where we were. The next night, all was over.
Would a girl let you sleep in her bed and sleep in yours (only mild making out) if she wasn't interested in you? Could the making out too soon have pushed her away? When she said Let's be friend's.. is it REALLY over or might there be a chance to recover?

My uncle just told me that we, as men are built in a way that if we don't lose it by the age of 21, we will die as a natural mechanism to control population. I'm actually 20 and I'll be 21 in 3 month's and I'm skurred because I don't want to die and I do want to lose it and I'm anxious.

Any tips on getting a girlfriend? I never had a girlfriend before nor do I have good female friends. I hear that just because a person has a female friend, that doesn't necessarily means she will become his girlfriend. And that is true. I have heard that 1st appearance matters a lot so will it be better for me if I stop biting my nails and talking to girls? I know for a fact that my voice is a really bad turnoff. My friend say I need to impress a girl with my other qualities. What is the other qualities that I need to find to get a girlfriend? I am 19 years old already. and please do not answer something about money, since if i give a lot of gifts and spend lots of money on her, it would be wasting since it would be too nice and that would be a turnoff. and I wouldn't have a girlfriend. I would just have only a friend. I want to find true love.

No, I will not try a dating site. For all that answer "you're gay", I am not gay.

im 18. I just broke up with my bf after 3 years. A week later I'm dating someone else. We've come really close to having sex, but I don't want him to think I'm using him as a rebound. Should I wait to have sex with him? He's definitly bf material and he makes me remember what my ex and I were missing. He's perfect and gorgeous. But how do I know that I'm not just wanting to hang out with him because I'm loney? I really really like him though, but is it bad to forget my ex so soon?

For women that believe that "chivalry" (doors, seats, coats, etc.) is common a demonstration of respect for women (whether in a relationship or on the train with strangers):

(For those women that reject this, please disregard)

Is the showing of "respect" only to be done by men toward women?

Or, should women demonstrate respect for men as well?

If so, what specific things should women DO to demonstrate respect for men? (Other than accept kindness shown toward them).

If not, why doesn't this fly in the face of treating all people with courtesy and respect, regardless of race, religion, or gender?

how do i break up with my bf, we have been going with him for only a week, we have best friends for 2 yrs and we just started going out. i just found out that i dont like him, i only liked the fact that he liked me. how do i break up with him without hurting him... cuz he really really likes me. He told my bff that if i ever broke up with him, hed do nething to get me back (stalkerish i know) and i just dont want to hurt him. i know there prob isnt a way to keep the friendship, but i really dont want to make him cry.... what is an excuse or something that i can use. i dont care if its a lie, i just wnat an exucuse. also, he is trying to makeout with me like now, and i dont want that, so the sooner the breakup the better for me.

Just out of curiosity, what are considered "standard" rules for couples living together? If your partner has moved in with you (or stays with you frequently), what rules do/would you impose? Would you adhere her to a strict set of rules that you don't even follow? How many times would you randomly tell her to make herself comfortable? Would it end after two months? Six? Would you feel free to intrude her privacy because it's your place? Are chores split fairly, or are you exempt because its your place? Do you find yourself doing vindictive things to her when you feel overwhelmed? If you have been dating longer than a year but aren't engaged, and she stay has been staying with you, off and on, for months, how long would you wait before giving her a key? Would you be scared of what it implied (if you were serious about her)? If you are or have lived with your partner in your place, what peeves have you expressed? What could she do that would nag you? Please be serious. Please be honest.
