For women that believe that "chivalry" (doors, seats, coats, etc.) is common a demonstration of respect for women (whether in a relationship or on the train with strangers):
(For those women that reject this, please disregard)
Is the showing of "respect" only to be done by men toward women?
Or, should women demonstrate respect for men as well?
If so, what specific things should women DO to demonstrate respect for men? (Other than accept kindness shown toward them).
If not, why doesn't this fly in the face of treating all people with courtesy and respect, regardless of race, religion, or gender?
