Singles & Dating - 12 February 2007

My man goes quiet ,like he is keeping a low profile; and one time i decide i will not show that any thing is wrong i just call him . leaves messages. he stays days like like 2-4 days then calls . he says i wish you goodnit,are you okey. And i just answer like nothing is wrong.
But i really like him so much and love him. So i always thought to myself it is nice to send a text and tell him am a straight forward person and someday he will know. He did not reply. but after some two days he calls to confirm how am doing and wish me a good nit. something keeps telling me that he thinks of me but does not know how to express. Because his work evolves moving anytime to different region in UK or country. Could this be the problem . or what can you guys tell me.

At the moment i am calm and something keeps telling me he guilty about our relationship and one day he will confess he loves me ,or not or unsecure about this relationship.

I really don't know what to do at the moment.

Yesterday, i was about to go and ask a guy out, but during that day, i met a group of friends and one of these guys in this group told me that his brother knew this person i was going to ask out and they revealed some outrageous bad things about him. I'm 16 and apparently he's 24-25. The first time i saw this guy, i imediately thought his name was John and the other day, i find out his name really is John and i have no idea if that's just a coincidence. However, after i left this group of friends, i hung around a little, because a part of me wasn't put off, a part of me was saying you don't know this guy and it's best to find out for yourself, so ask him out...I lost two nights of sleep over this in anticipation of asking him out which has never happened before and every single part of my intuition was telling me that everything was going to turn out great. And now, i have no idea what to do.
What do you all think? I'd appreciate any advice...thanks! :-)

...we have only been talking a few days, but I feel so connected to her. Never before have I felt this kinda feeling.

She has a boyfriend, who she tells me is going to propose to her on valentines. The thought of this I find very Painful, I'm dreading her e-mail saying that she as accepted. I wish I could stop her, but thats imposable, shes to far away.

I don't know what to do!

How do I get over these feelings?

Should you only send a valentines card to your girlfriend or wife or is it OK to send them to all the girls that you fancy (anonymously of course)? Seems to me that the latter would brighten up a lot of peoples lives

I've just found out a guy I know likes me. I get on great with him but I don't really fancy him. He has sent me a text but I havent answered. He split with his fiancee less than a year ago & (this is rumour only) i'm told he has a gambling problem. would it be a bad idea to meet him for a drink (eg)?

Does it mean more to you if the person you date has a great personality, or that they look good?

I personally find that personality is key. If I cannot have an actual conversation with a person, they can kiss our relationship good-bye. Sure, looks matter... but TO AN EXTENT... I would much rather be with a person that I can talk to, one that is funny, witty, smart, and at times a bit dorky, than a guy that looks good, but cant figure out what 2+2 is..

What are your thoughts?

Am dating this really cute guy; confident, fantastic personality, great job….. and very handsome.
My problem is this; he’s very jealousy of my old boy friends and get really suspicious of me when I speak with any of them.
Mind u, I don not keep in touch with them all but one or two have managed to remain just very good friends.
Now, my guy has an incredible history with women; he was quite popular with the ladies before we started dating seriously about two years ago….
My challenge with him is, why is he so jealous of my past? And why is he so interested in it when his past doesn’t bother me?
I really would appreciate an answer on how to deal with him cos he’s stating to really upset me with this….
And the more I to explain to him that there’s nothing in my past that important than my present and future with him, the more he gives me the impression like he doesn’t trust me.

It seems like everyone except me has close friends or best friends who like to hang out with them. I'm a real nice guy and try to be "cool" but I can't seem to make a quality friend that I can count on and who likes to hang out. I was real shy when I was growing up but now I've kind of grown out of it but at my age 27 it's really hard to find friends. I have more of what you would acquaintances who never call me. I'm the one who has to call them and they don't call if I don't call them back for a while. I don't think these types of people would be considered friends. I don't drink, maybe that's why but I'm not sure. Is anyone else in the same boat or am I the only one?

I have going through this dilemma with a 28 year old guy for about 7 months! We clicked RIGHT from the start on both parts, had great laughs and were both stimulating mentally and pysically. We started off as friends and then realised how much we liked each other. But this guy was in 2 frame of minds, he really really liked me but wasn't in the frame of mind any kind of commitment right now! He has been very indecisive? I mean he liked me this much that even when I was on holiday for 3 weeks he was calling me non stop etc as he missed me..many times I decided to move on & he obviously was connected to me to keep coming back & to tell me how much he misses my company and someone to liaise with. So why is it that he would risk loosing me, all because he dosen't want to settle down right now?? He said to me "if I was looking for something, you would be the one, but i'm not in the frame of mind for anything serious it's my loss"". why would you risk loosing a good thing?

i have a dilema.

this really nice guy that av been chattin away to 4 a while now has asked me to go on a date with him and i said yes but now am having second thoughts.

the reason for this is that am still hung up on my ex. i really loved this guy and still really miss him and dnt think there is a chance of me n him gettin bk together. but the fact that i still have feelings for him makes me think that maybe i shouldnt go on a date with this other guy as i may be leading him on and i dnt wanna do that. help plz!!!
