Does it mean more to you if the person you date has a great personality, or that they look good?

I personally find that personality is key. If I cannot have an actual conversation with a person, they can kiss our relationship good-bye. Sure, looks matter... but TO AN EXTENT... I would much rather be with a person that I can talk to, one that is funny, witty, smart, and at times a bit dorky, than a guy that looks good, but cant figure out what 2+2 is..

What are your thoughts?

I agree with you.
Whats with looks when you can't evenm have a proper conversation with him.
Personally those tyes of people are dull.
I prefer ones that really has a good sense of humor and you can talk to.
like ur taste i'd fall for someone like that than a good-looking yet boring person.

I'm not a pretty girl, but I've never had a problem finding a man, or keeping a boyfriend. I found that making the best of what I have, and also learning how to hold a conversation has stood me in far better stead. I'd rather be able to make people laugh than be a pretty "trophy"

I think that Personalilty is the key to any relationship. You do however need a spall basics for looks, bt maake sure in never gets anywhere near as close as the importance of personalilty, I hope that help. (I am 14, so you probably won't lsten to me , but whatever. Bye now)

looks and personality are equally important to me. If someone is drop dead gorgeous but has the personality of a doorknob, then I'm immediately going to drop them. Similarily, someone who has an outstanding personality has to have at least average looks to keep me interested. If personality could be given a score out of 5 and looks could be given a score out of 5, I'm looking for someone that adds up to 7 or better :D

I'd have to say both are really important. But sometimes I find myself attracted to someone overtime if they have a great personality. On the other hand, if a guy is hot but I find our personalities don't click, he starts to lose his appeal. If it came down to choosing between the two, I'd have to go with personality because looks fade.

It's the same for me! I like having a boyfriend that I look up on him! I like being among friends having a conversation and my boyfriend has the most interesting thoughts!
I really don't care about the appearance, needed to be clean though!

i would hate to date someone whos got the looks but not the brains! and what would be the point in having a relationship with a person with no personality? it's normal to pick someone that can have an intelligent conversation with you

Personality is the most important. "Clicking" with someone is just plain exciting.

However, I do find it difficult to click with someone who doesn't take care of themselves. To me, all women are beautiful. Granted, some moreso than others, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I've seen some very thin women who are downright atrocious to look at because they simply don't eat enough and I have seen some very sexy women who are a little on the heavy side, but healthy nonetheless.

Personality is important, but taking care of yourself is important too.

Being good looking always helps it getting the first look, but i guess in the end i wuld rather have the funny, intelligent and talkative guy who i can tal to for hours. I don't want to be bored.

First impression may be deceptive. Even if he's handsome and looks fascinating it will take maximum 10 minutes...
Personally I don't want a mannequin or a decorative plant next to me but a man who's reasonable, intelligent and ingenious.
