Yesterday, i was about to go and ask a guy out, but during that day, i met a group of friends and one of these guys in this group told me that his brother knew this person i was going to ask out and they revealed some outrageous bad things about him. I'm 16 and apparently he's 24-25. The first time i saw this guy, i imediately thought his name was John and the other day, i find out his name really is John and i have no idea if that's just a coincidence. However, after i left this group of friends, i hung around a little, because a part of me wasn't put off, a part of me was saying you don't know this guy and it's best to find out for yourself, so ask him out...I lost two nights of sleep over this in anticipation of asking him out which has never happened before and every single part of my intuition was telling me that everything was going to turn out great. And now, i have no idea what to do.
What do you all think? I'd appreciate any advice...thanks! :-)

I live in Scotland and a 25 year old going out with a 16 year old is completely legal over here...

i hope your willing to visit him in jail
second im sure your parents would have a cow when they find out
sheesh be a kid you only have a few yrs left before you HAVE TO BE A GROWN UP
go out with your friends and hang out you have plenty of time later to worry about if your heart is speaking

all of that is normal to feel
cause u r now trying something new u never felt before and it is the force of a girl need an older guy in the first tweentys and u want to live his life
dont put in ur mind cuz what u see is nothing is fake and u r going to regert taking this step cuz he wont understand u at all so u should put him out of ur mind
if u want to try so go on and dont be upset when u find out that what in saying is true

if i was you i would go and ask him out, you will never find out what he is really like through hearsay, ask him out girl! and dont worry about the age, if its meant to happen it will. Good luck
