I have been with my boyfriend for a year and four months. We knew each other before that as he was my manager, but that business has since closed down and we no longer work together. We are both 22 (23 in April/May). This is his first relationship and my past relationships have ended after only two months each (except one, I tried to break it off after two months and he cried). We both feel we are in this for the long haul. Overall, I love him and do not question in my heart he feels the same way. In March we want to move into an apartment together with a 13 month lease. We both are going to put our names on the lease so only one person isn't held responsible in case we do break up. I had no hesitations about this until a guy at work said it was a horrible idea and how he has never known a couple to last when they rent an apartment. He says it will only end badly. Is he just a negative jerk or are we being naive and jumping into this too quickly?

I'm a firm believer in "be yourself." When I meet a guy, I tell him what music I like, what I like to do, etc... and don't change my mind because of what he likes. If he loves football... that's fine, that doesn't mean I'm going to suddenly love it. I know so many girls who completely change their interests and personalities for guys. My and ex and I were together for three years, before breaking up six months ago. The thing is we've talked and we are both still deeply in love with each other. The only problem is he has a long distance girlfriend, I mean really long distance like 1200 miles away. They never see each other and he is always with me and always calling me. I am shy but I try to not let that get in the way. I like sports, working out, helping others... I would probably be considered a "good girl" but what is it that I am doing wrong? I have never even been on a date or kissed. Everyone tells me that the right guy will come along just to wait. I am so tired of waiting. I want to be held and kissed and know that someone cares about me. I have tryed to get guys to hang out just as friends, but it always seems like they are busy.
