Singles & Dating - 4 February 2007

I like this girl. I asked to copy her lab once, and she once said "'All u do is use me!", but the next day she gave it to me anyway.

Anyway, its been 2 months since I've seen her, and we ran into eachother and talked for 15 minutes. I told her what classes I'm talking, and she said she took one of them last semester. She hinted she has all the exams and stuff... then I said "u gotta hook me up sometime!"

Well, I call her today to ask for her notes, she is going to give me them tomorrow. However, judging by her voice on the phone, she seemed a bit irritated.

What can I do to make it seem like I am not using her (even though I am, sort of). I actually really like her, and want to ask her out!

Why do girls enjoy having chicken fights when there in a pool or ocean? When ever I am hanging out with girls in my friends pool they always want to have chicken fights against each other why is this? Also are they just doen it to impress us or do they actully enjoy it?

I've been w/ my boyfriend now 7 1/2 yrs. He has somewhat strung me along, gave me a ring about 3 yrs ago, but never officially proposed. This in return has caused strain on the relationship & plays cat & mouse w/me. He manipulates me w/verbal abuse & when he gets upset doesn't say he loves me. We've been very rocky past 6 mos and I know I deserve better, to be loved & told I'm loved. He is very hard to talk to, gets defensive easily and always turns anything as my fault..He's never apologized once in our relationship, it's always me asking forgiveness & giving into to everything. I've learned that is what verbal abusive entails...just started realizing this in the past year. Anyhow, I can't physically & emotinally stay in this.. How do I talk to him or write a letter I can read to him (because he intimidates me when I talk to him) to let him know I love him, but I need to move on but want his friendship (is it possible, I hope). I really don't want it to end, I do love him.

My boyfriend does not want me to come with him and his family to celbrate his birthday but he says that if I want to do something for him to do it on the weekend. I have spent time with his whole family before and the holidays too. Why would he not invite me to share in his birthday?....(dating almost a year)

I have know this guy for years. We decided to started dating and formed a really good relationship.We have been together for 10 months.

In Nov. he got laid off from him dream job due to downsizing and now he is depressed. So depressed that he doesn't eat or sleep properly. I try to be supportive as possible. but i am a single mom and don't have much to give . After a long day at the office, dealing with my five year old. I often need some TLC myself. he is so down and out he is running on empty.
he is the best guy I ever met. respectful, supportive, helpful, disciplined etc...
but he refuses to take just any job and is working on building up his own business and while it is slow he is doing quite well. (meanwhile the bills are piling up and he is facing eviction.)

How long do I stick around? I genuinley believe he cares for me as much as I do him but his depression and the lack of attention has me wanting to bail. How long do i stick around? I need love too!

im a guy and a lot of people say im pretty. like when they describe what they think of me pretty is often used. never called handsome or whatever else. very good looking is the only other one used on occasion. i dont have much luck with girls as all my relationships are over in a few months. i guess i do pay attention to my appearance a lot and like to look good but im wondering if it may be hurting me. like maybe girls dont like guys that are pretty. its really making me kinda angry and confused. anyone have advice.
