Be you and a boy who is good for you will find you. You could try joining a school club or social arena for people your age to meet people. Just don't try to be something you aren't for someone else. Either they accept you for you or they take a flying leap.

To me it seems people have a general better opinion of people they know like them or have expressed interest....to a certain extent..... So just show interest in subtle ways at first then you can make the jump to more bolder approaches....

you should talk to him. get to know him. ask him about a few things, and then just start flowing with the conversation. then when you're friends with him ask him if he wants to hang out.
