It is a lifestyle for me, and has been for over a decade, for health, comfort, and spiritual reasons. Read on if curious.
I know many folks find it strange, rude, or even unsanitary to go to an eatery barefoot. As for the latter, it is simply untrue. . .At least for a true barefooter like myself. After all, my feet do not touch the food, nor can I spread any more germs than shoe-wearers - I wash my feet thrice a day (how many x are shoes washed?). As for fungus, I can't spread that either, as I could never contract it, because I do not stuff my feet into damp, moist, warm environs like shoes, where fungi thrive. As for looks, what's the difference between two straps covering the tops of one's feet and one's feet being bare? Being barefoot all the time, everywhere, is a passion of mine, and an eccentricity, that's all. So, would you mind?
