we´ve given this relationship so many chances, but we´re just two very different people. we can´t communicate, it´s like we speak different languages. everything i say is misunderstood. i´m too sensitive, he´s too practical. he wants things done his way always. but i do love him and i know he loves me. i think we are both hoping that somehow things will get back to what they used to be... he says we´re just going through a bad phase but to be honest, i don´t think there´s a way things can be fixed. we´ve been together for 1 year and 9 months. should i hang on and wait of things will change? i´m afraid we´re only gonna hurt each other, and we will not even be able to be friends after this.

ok so there is this guy that i have kinda been dating depending on your deffinition, and i can't figure out where he wants to go with things. we hang out and talk on the phone and stuff, and i've kissed him. But i can't figure out if he actually really likes me or if i'm just another girl that he's gotten close with. He has told me that he really likes me but i am afraid that i am going to end up liking him more and then end up with a broken heart. opinions??

I've never understood that. Can't they feel at least a bit flattered?

Whenever I've told a girl (even a friend) that I had feelings for her, her reaction has always been to stop talking to me. Sometimes it even ended our friendship (if we had one to begin with).

Is it so insulting to be loved? Is having strong feelings toward someone such an unberable affront?

And no, I'm not a teenager, I'm in my late 30s, and these women are in their late 30s as well.

Please comment only about older girls/younger guys! This is the second time that I am dating a younger guy. The first one was only 1.5 years younger but this one is 6 years younger. He is very understanding and romantic. He hot and very nice in bed too. He always talks about our future. I don't say anything about that. I love to marry this guy but I am worried. I was at the video store a couple days ago and there's this guy that works there and my friend Curtis told me about him but the thing is the guy doesn't know me. Curtis is just telling me that I might like him.And so when I was at the video store I was looking at the movies and the guy was looking at me like he wanted to talk to me but was afraid to. Anyway as I was about to leave he was flirting with me he was starring at me with goo-goo eyes and he was asking how I'm doin' and what I'm up to and stuff. What does this mean? i met her in 6th grade. i could've sworn i saw her staring at me one day because i looked at her and she looked away very quickly, face red. now, in 10th grade, we are in the same homeroom. she sits directly behind me. now, after a couple of weeks, i start talking to her. the first day i talked at her, she just looked at me, kind of confused looking. one day, after school, i was with my friends and she came out with some of her friends and they all stayed in the same area. a girl started talking to me, and i think i saw the girl in homeroom looking at me the entire time when i talked to the girl that started talking to me. the girl in my homeroom and i are friends, or it think we are. we talk to eachother, but i'm the one that starts the conversations, most of the time. she logs on AIM but doesn't talk to me unless i talk to her. please tell me what you really think, not something that would make me feel better. and do you have any tips for me that i can use to see if she does like me?

I was with my boyfriend for 2 years when he broke up with me, we even had lived together for a \while, i was distraught everything had always been fine between us. well after we broke up i had a couple one time yet protected sexual encounters. we were broken up for almost a year. And now we are working things out. He asked me if i had been with anyone else since him and i only told him one, and explained to him that i didnt mean anything because i would never feel about anybody the way i felt about him, which is the truth, but he was still really hurt, infact i was really hurt and ashamed by my own actions, and have infact put it behind me, and vowed to not make such mistakes in the future, and wasnt brought back up until now. But still do i need to tell him about anyone else?

i met this guy on a cruise. we were like boyfriend and girlfriend and he assured me that if i lived where he did we would definitely be together..however, we live far away..but we did have sex twice, and he wasn't with any other girls..and we talked after the cruise as well. he didn't really talk much the first time during sex, but the second time he constantly asked me if i was alright and he helped me out a lot during sex. we held hands, and he asked my friend what was up with me. the first time we hung out we only hooked up, but why would he come back if he didn't have an interest in me, and once he got sex why didn't he leave?

My boyfriend is great but I do not know how to approach him "romantically". He is very reserve and very respectful. I'd like to find a way to introduce my affection for him without being aggessive or demanding.

I do know he finds me attractive and at times I am sure he does not know how to appoach me as well. I'd like to be able to reach over once in a while and start it up myself without feeling rude or disrespectful.

Are we dating or are we broken up? I don't really know myself cause she's has a tough time communicating anything. But she did say she needed to be, "on her own" but she still calls and texts about every day. Anyways, when we were dating (for sure) things were great for a while and I think real mutual feelings started to develop and she got scared (for whatever reason, people do that sometimes, I know). So anyways, she has told me she's not ready for a relationship that serious (even though it was for a few months already). I think I just want to be completely indifferent towards her, maybe even ignore her a little. I hate playing games, but I think she is already. So is it to harsh to blow her off? If so, what's the best approach to being as guarded as I can be w/out burning the bridge, so to speak?

He asked me out near the end of the last school year then during the summer we went out to dinner but then he didn't call at all. Once school starts again I find out he's been at a boot camp for this military school. After one of his good family friends gave me his e-mail I dropped a line and he called me about every week saying that he misses me, that I was the coolest friend ever and that he can't wait ot see me again. October, he came back and we saw each other at a party his family was having but it was unconfortable because all his family was there to see him since he had been away at this military school for 2 months.

Before X-mas break he called and said he'd see if he could ask his family if he could see me whilst he was home and he siad he'd call me later and been almost 2 weeks and he's already back at school and I have gotten no calls or e-mails.

Should I move on all toghether, move on but keep my hopes up, or keep waiting. And why does he say later and mean 2 weeks?
