ok so there is this guy that i have kinda been dating depending on your deffinition, and i can't figure out where he wants to go with things. we hang out and talk on the phone and stuff, and i've kissed him. But i can't figure out if he actually really likes me or if i'm just another girl that he's gotten close with. He has told me that he really likes me but i am afraid that i am going to end up liking him more and then end up with a broken heart. opinions??

Guys are not usually straight forward with their feelings. However, there are guys who are very straight forward with their feelings.
I suggest don't get too heavily envolved try to get to know him better of the next month or so. When the time is right ask him about past relationships. This may give you a clue.

It took me a while to figure out whether I liked this girl and I said some things I shouldn't have. Just be patient and he'll figure out his feelings.

You might as well ask him, the fact that you want to know should give a good signal that you like him. I know, sounds kinda lame, you asked because you didn't want to be so straightforward. But, that's the best way, maybe alittle needling, but, asking is the best bet.
