Singles & Dating - 22 October 2006

I have been dating this guy, we work together and he has 4 kids with as many women. We kinda fell for each other really hard but now I feel like Im being pushed aside for his exes. I have no problem with him being a father to his kids. I fully respect that of him. Recently I met a guy who has captured my heart and I want to be with him but I dont want to made my work environment difficult with the other guy. What do I do?

Well the story is that I've known him for years, he has always been such a fair boss of others, truthful, smart, confident and responsible. He's 12 years older than me, has got a beautiful little daughter with his wife.
Just about a year ago he noticed me when he got a job at the same company, started smiling at me all the time, tried to approach me but I remained distant, thinking - "A married guy? No way!" In last few months we had to communicate a lot at work and his behaviour has changed so dramatically that he almost frightens me - he's so quiet when I come around, he talks to me in such a soft way one day with all his face red, and another he pretends he doesn't notice me, while being so anxious, all his confidence has disappeared somewhere, etc. It seems he's drooling over me and now I can't get him out of my head too. I don't want anyone to be hurt, especially that little girl.
I'd like to know if you girls would make any moves toward him in my place? Thank you in advance.

Ok, there is this girl, she is in the same class as me for the past two years and we play in he same band ,the same instrument. Its a little awkward because dhe is like super smart and stuff and it would feel pretty awkward in class if i ask her out and become a couple, if she accepts.

so i don't know if its a good idea to ask her now or even how to do it

I'm in love with my best friend. He's in love with a girl who's in a long term relationship. She doesn't requite his love for her and he would never make a move because he respects the fact that she'd in a relationship. This doesn't stop her taking advantage of my best friend's affections and treating him terribly. He's desperately unhappy and confides in me. He's recently become wise to this and has told me he is trying to get over her. He knows I'm in love with him. I told him three months ago. He doesn't return my feeling but he wants to remain best friends with me and we continue to spend loads of time together- going to the theatre, to the park, to museums... I dote on him. So what I want to know is; should I wait for him? Is it worth it? Do people change their feelings? Do you think he'll ever notice me? We're so similar. I'm 26 and just became an attorney and from law school on i've had a lot of problems w/dating.Not to sound cocky but i'm also really attractive, so please quash any "femi-nazi" stereotypes that most doom most female attorneys. I've never done any drugs or gotten arrested so a lot of guys have said i'm "too perfect"...which is complete BS...I got PLENTY of flaws. I dated a few law school guys but it was more of a convenience then a real attraction so no I don't think i'll be dating any male attorneys. Granted the last two guys i've dated happened to have some substance abuse problems but am I doomed to be single forever?

i thought i was over him but apparently i'm not.. i've met other guys, went out with my friends.. but all i can think of is him.. it's been 2 weeks we didnt talk and that's alot of distance for us.. he's accepted the fact we're not together anymore cause i've rejected him.. if i'll try i'll never know what it would have been with him,we were the perfect match.. but i'm affraid it's too late, any advice to make him come back?

i broke up with him, he was starting to change.. but he was still inlove with me..it was just his ego

i know it was a childish thing to do, but ever since the breakup he hasen't called or anything,maybe he doesnt care for me anymore..thats y i'm affraid of calling him..the breakup was hard on him at the beginning, now i dont know anything exept that he wanted to pass by my house to take his sweater back..(but i wasnt at home)

I grew up in an environment where we didn't use profanity except if we stubbed our toe or something. lol In another words not in everyday talk. I find myself getting turned off and offended when a guy uses profanity when he is talking to me. This is not sexual talk or anything, just general profanity like sh** or hell. I find it rude for a man to use profanity around a woman whom doesn't know well and that he is looking at as a potential date. I am not a prude but I just think certain language isn't acceptable with someone you don't know well as you don't know how that other person feels about it. I don't get offended if someone I know uses profanity although I don't like it at all but it just offends me when a guy isn't respectable and uses it. I tend to judge guys on this. If a guy uses it in an email or phone message, I usually avoid him. I want to be able to introduce a guy to my parents and not be embarrased if he says something profane even though I am 40 years old

I have know this girl for 5 years, we have dated 5 or 6 times. We always have this strong connection, but never have done anything about it, or talked about it. I went out with her a few weeks ago and we had a great time and made out. Someone else is also dating her right now.
