I like this guy friend, but I don't think he likes me. But, I feel I should still have hope that later on he'll like me back, when we know each other better. So when is the time that I should give up on him? Is there a sign as to when one should give up impressing the person they like?

Lets say you're pretty shallow. (Maybe you are.) Would you go out with a girl that USED to be fat. She liked you a lot last year, and you found out she still does. You never liked her back because you didn't really know her, and she was fat. She lost weight and looks good. Would get to know her/go out with her this year?

i just started a relationship with my best guy friend but i can't help the feeling that he questions why i like him so much. he's even asked me to rate him on attractiveness numerous times. i keep telling him that i care more for his personality than his looks but he doesn't seem to get it. while i think physical attraction is key to a good relationship, i just wish it wasn't so important to him. my love for him isn't based on appearance but it's so hard to get him to see that. idk what to do to show him because it's obvious that it's not getting through. what should i do?

Met a guy, we hit it off. There is distance involved (we met where i live while he was visiting the area). He came on strong but called a few weeks ago and was strange on the phone and seemed to be trying to alienate me. Since then I've only had minimal contact. I think he is involved with someone and not telling me. I wasn't expecting to fall for him but we really clicked in person. Is it the distance or did I encounter a player who won't come clean about his involvment with someone else? He said he wasn't married but my gut is telling me there is someone in the wings.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost two years. We are both college students and don't have jobs. This upcoming weekend is Sweetest Day on saturday and our two year anniversary on sunday. I know he will get me a card and flowers but I really want him to surprise me with something like he did ast year. I realize I can't expect anything too great but I know by the end of the weekend I'm going to feel disappointed. I don't think that he feels this weekend should be a big deal and it is.
