I just recently told my girlfriend that i am going to be out of town for our 2 month because of hockey and won't be able to go to her thanksgiving dinner either because of hockey... She's pretty upset and I just wanted to do something nice for her but I have no ideas... Is there anything I can do to make this not so crappy?

I'm 18 years old and I have trouble when it comes to men. I know it's not the end of the world because I am still young, I would just like to get into the dating game. I'm not ugly, I'm pretty confident in myself, I'm funny and adventerous. I've never been on a date, had a first kiss, or anything along those lines. I can meet new people, but it usually doesn't go anywhere. Or there is something there and I find out they have a girlfriend. I have a tendancy to end up in the friend zone too (don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for my guy friends) So, it seems I've been dealt a bad hand in that department. I won't resort to whoring myself out but I just need some help. Where are good places to meet guys? How can you tell if they are flirting with you? How to keep them interested and let them know you are? Anything!

A guy that liked me last year and probably still does, just bugs me. His personality, the way he thinks he is cool, and just the way he is so shy[shy in a queer way] it just makes me want to kick his ***. Seriously. My friends get mad at me because he is"a nice guy, sweet, tall...." and my other friend likes him cause she thinks he has"nice abs" when really there is nothing there. Errrrr. I just can't stand him. So like I ignore him and then he gets alll depressed and I do not care, I just can't stand him and I hate his ******* guts. I just do. I have been with my BF for almost 8 years. I have gained a bit over 50 lbs. I know that its true that guys are less attracted to this, and I am on a diet now. I still need help to figure out what I can do in the meantime to spice things up. I dont really think its the weight as much as it is I hide under the covers while we have sex and try to make sure my fat isnt sticking out.He says it doesnt make that big of a difference but that is what he is supposed to say. I think it is all in my head my self esteem is low because of the weight. He likes big butts and hips, and says I am still sexy to him, he just doesnt act as interested. I am gonna lose the weight but in the meantime please help!

I had a one night stand 3 weeks ago with a bloke who i consider to be an eligible bachelor. I havent had any contact with him since but i really like him and think we could have more than just a casual fling. But tonight i might be bumping into him and i dont know what approach to go for. What should I do!? Whenever my boyfriend gets mad at me, he always calls me gay, and tells me to shut up. Is that right? alright.. my problem is a little different than what you might think... i feel empty not cause i haven't found anybody, and that i don't get love, i feel empty cause i don't like anybody!! all the guys in my school are dorks, and the problem is, i don't seem to like anybody.. even if i think the guy is cute, i would not go out with him...
is there a problem with me?? are my standards a little too high? all my friends are single, but not by choice. i feel so weird not liking somebody.. could that even be possible?? or maybe cause i am stuck on one person from the past, and i don't realize it??
